Magic Tree House: Dragon of the Red Dawn

Dragon of the Red Dawn is an exciting story. Jack and Annie must find the cure for Merlin. Merlin has been depressed and not happy. The two wizard and which apprentices were too bust to come on the trip with them. They needed to help the witch Morgan le Fay in Camelot. Camelot was in danger of something that they do not mention in the story. So Freddie and Kathleen the apprentice sorcerers couldn't help them.

Jack and Annie must go to the magical land of Japan. There they must get away from the Samurai warriors and the cloud dragon and save Edo from burning to the ground. There they meet the famous poet Basho and there they find the cure for Merlin's sickness. Find it out in the Dragon of the Red Dawn. My favorite part was when Jack and Annie had to recite some poems to the Samurai warriors which made the samurai warrior's days.

William Story of the Week: William Joins the Band of Hope

Mrs. De Ver Carter is a neighbor of the Browns. She comes over for a visit and sees William who Mrs. De Ver Carter calls "Willie Dear." She asks Mrs. Brown if it's OK for Willie Dear to joins her teaching society which is called the Band of Hope. When William enters the room it is like an outrage of horror. Several other glum looking kids were in the room. When all of the children had entered Mrs. De Ver Carter said "Now girlies dear and laddies dear, what do I expect of you at these meetings?" And "in answer came a bored and monotonous chant: respectful and reposeful." Find out what happens next when William joins the Band of Hope.

William Story of the Week

William Brown is a boy in a book called the William books. The author is Richmal Crompton. Not many people in America have heard them. William is very funny. His usual look is a scowl. William can act sweet to do mischief, but he really looks sweet. That is William Brown.

William and his group, the Outlaws, wanted money for bows and arrows. So they made a zoo in William's room. The Sunday school children had to climb up William's bedroom window to get there, and they had to pay money. They took William's sister Ethel's cat and called him a wild cat when they put a mouse in front of the cat. But then a loud noise overcrept the kids. I don't want to spoil this part so find out in Just William.

Three Good Authors: Phillip Pullman, Gayle Carson Levine, Elisabeth McDavid Jones

His Dark Materials are three great books. I've read them all and I recommend them. Gayle Carson Levine, I recommended her books of Ella Enchanted, Fairest, Two Princesses of Bamarre and lots of others. Elisabeth McDavid Jones who wrote two great books, A Peril at King's Creek and also Traitor in Williamsburg. The two Felicity mysteries are good for kids 7 and up. I liked the two books of the Felicity mysteries because they were good historical books and also were written about my American girl doll Felicity and Elisabeth which I have. His Dark Materials were great books. My favorite characters were Lyra, Pantolaimon and Iorek Byrnison and also the gallivespians. The Golden Compass was a good book for 10 and up. The books that were written by Gayle Carsen Levine are very magical books. I've read Ella Enchanted, Fairest, The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Princess Sonorra and the Long Sleep. They're great books I've read many of them. My favorite book that I've read was Ella Enchanted because there is a movie and a book and well, the characters are nice. Some of them are very dramatic. Ella is very funny, but princess Adelina in the Two Princesses of Bamarre is very dramatic. Aza, in Fairest is dramatic too.
